Hey girls, lets face it sometimes getting dressed is hard work, maybe because you're tired or wake up feeling meh! We all have days like that don't we? Whether your wardrobe/closet is packed to its full capacity there's no denying that occasionally we all get what we like to call "dressers block" (a mild case of writers block, if you were a writer!)
I get stumped when it comes to building the perfect outfit (if there is such a thing :-)) and it often has less to do with not having the right items, but more to do with not knowing how to put them together. We all more than likely have our own staples like the jumper/knitwear, jeans, winter coat etc but not really sure how to pair things up. In fact its a safe bet to say that we all have stuff sitting in our wardrobes right now that can be worn dozens of unexpectedly stylish ways- all we're missing is a small dose of inspiration.
What I like to do is check out blogs, and street style images to give me that inspo I need. Here's some looks below, they may not seem ground breaking but they're not meant to be; there simple and easy to achieve and give you an idea of how to put pieces together to create outfits that are both impactful and stylist. And more than likely you might already have some of these bits just hidden away in your closet.
The staple coat ..A bright coloured or good winter coat is one way of injecting a fresh look into an outfit. Check these looks out below.

Everyone has a black coat which always looks great with a cute hat,( and we all have some sort of hat! These fur hats are everywhere at the moment) a great bag and flat ankle boots and there is plenty of all of these in store!
Again great look pair it with a hat and cool jeans for a great relaxed look yet very trendy
Similar black coat to both above on asos for €50 here but more than likely we all have a similar black coat to this!
Scarfs are a great way to add a little something to an outfit and just before Christmas the blanket scarf was high in demand available everywhere even penneys! In fact penney's in my opinion had the best ones, they flew out the door but I have seen them creeping back instore so keep and eye out. Although any scarf can change an outfit so use what you have in your wardrobe!
Penneys Scarf
My take on the coat/scarf look
Skirts and sweater combos..simple looks below
Skirts are great for giving your sweaters/jumpers/knitwear a completely different look so use them girls! There not just for night time, pair them with opaque tights and heels and voila! Love this look above.
Here's how I improvised with my wardrobe with a leather skirt and shirt I have two years now and a new H&M jumper (still available here)
More inspiration below on skirt looks, (doesn't have to be skater skirts can be A-line or any skirt) all of us have these jumpers in our wardrobe we just need to play dress up with what we have and see what new looks we can pull from existing clothes!
Jumper and skirt Available here from H&M
Jeans and Jumpers are great for this cold weather, take this outfit below add a little plaid shirt underneath a jumper and chunky jewellery and you've got a lovely dressy casual look!
Again another look below with over the knee boots, its simple and trendy ..similar here but in a grey colour, pop a denim shirt or plaid red shirt and you've got the look...cable knit available for €12.99 here
