My Style: Bohemian chic ..this dress was under €20!

Happy wednesday..So here's another one from my wardrobe for you. I love easy dresses, the kind of dress that you can literally throw on and head out the door, no fuss!

And I especially love dresses you can dress down or up with just a change of a shoe!

I have a thing for comfy dresses, the bohemian kind, the ones that are little bit unusual (but in a good way) and look like they are easy to wear. When I first saw this dress at +Athlone Towncentre Shopping Centre  I loved it..I didn't look at the price tag, it was the embroidered print and the nice shirt type material that caught my eye. Its so "my style" too so when I did peep that it was on sale +H&M for €15, there was no question I was getting it! There is still a small few available but its sold out online.(Other similar dresses are here here, and here.)

As you can see it has an embroidered design on the top part of the dress, almost Aztec print. The material is an outer shell material (Shirt material) and is just so easy to wear, its a light fabric and feels airy!

Its dipped at the back and slightly shorter at the front, a style I'm loving at the moment.

It has a drop waist so lots of room to hide any misgivings, its also perfect if you are just a few months pregnant (which can be an awkward stage to get any clothes, as regular clothes are too tight and maternity clothes just too loose) it has lots of room for a tiny bump or hiding anything you want hiding like me ha.

I paired this dress with heels as opposed to flats or wedges, I do have flats and wedges to match but I just liked high heels with this dress, its definitely a dress I'll be wearing for a girly lunch without the kiddies or midweek evening dinner/drinks.The heels I picked up a few months back but they are still available here along with my YSL bag my hubbie got for me..Im a lucky girl I know!

And of course who doesn't have a few @Alex&AniIreland bracelets, I've three actually but working on getting more .. I love them and the meanings behind them. They are also made of sustainable products which is an added bonus.

Shirt dresses... Dressy or casual looks for any occasion

So its that season again and its spring/summer and in between seasons, and what better reason to wear a shirt dress. Its versatile and easy to dress up or down, throw on opaque tights or a leather jacket over it, or just a pair of sandals, bare legs and off you go!!

Its such a staple all rounder to have in the wardrobe and god knows I've a couple of these type dresses.

Pop a pair of heels or converse and this piece looks great, throw a belt on over them..its just a great piece. I find they are so handy to pack too if your heading for a weekend away!  

Even the queen of style herself Olivia Palermo, appreciates a nice shirt dress..

What's in my basket.. March lust list

So a few months ago, I did mention I was going to do a monthly post of "what's in my basket?"..obviously since then, my basket got ridiculously full and snapped in half. So after repairs etc etc I have a new basket again for the month of March!! Hence the delay!

Now this basket is quiet full at the moment, full of lovely bits I cant afford! They are going on the wishlist...I have them in a basket with the belief one day I will become a millionaire!! Half way through life and this is has not yet happened....it will, I feel it!

I spotted Vogue Williams in a fab one from Marks and Spencers she was wearing it loads in her snaps and its a khaki green one! What's in my shopping basket? Wishlist

So was just doing a spot of browsing/shopping online for "Others..my other half siblings etc" and mid shopping I just realised I never did a "What's in my basket" for this month. It also dawned on me, that I have the most expensive taste, actually I lie, I've always had expensive taste, just not a big enough bank account...

So I was trigger happy with the add/buy button on all websites...(actually the majority are below)...its so much fun pretending you're loaded and adding the most ridiculously expensive clothes/shoes/jewellery into a basket. (I went a bit easy with this post as I don't think anyone could afford something in their €1000's..well me anyway)..in fact the quote below sums it up nicely..my better half throws confused looks across my way when I erupt in laughter at spontaneous moments..I think he thinks I'm gone mad..he'd definitely think it, if he saw the total price totted up in my online shopping basket!

So on that note lets get started...(excited tone) this is so much fun! I love doing this type of post...

I'm a magpie seriously love all things sparkly, even my wedding dress had sparkle in it, I remember asking my mother when I tried it on did I look like a Christmas tree haha!! Can never resist Jewellery particularly Michael Kors.I used to own a piece a long time ago but I had the misfortune of breaking my lovely Michael Kors Bracelet and watching the balls scatter all across Dunnes Stores floor! Wasn't pretty, having said that it was an elastic flimsy type band with balls on it and the MK disc(expensive mind!) so maybe avoid that type of bracelet as the elastic wears very easily! Ah Zara, every month they kill my bank account, love everything from this place..so reasonable too, although as you add to your basket its amazing how quickly the total becomes hundreds! I always want everything! I love Topshop, there's always great pieces available, My favourite at the moment is this dress |Top left, I don't know where id wear it but it is fab, pricey at €220 find it here, next to it is an embroidered dress, gorge too, pricey at €170 but it is a wishlist after all, find it here, Love this "two in one" velvet playsuit find it instore and online here. Bottom left to right; Love a good clutch and this embellished one is €68 and available here, comes in gold too. Next up the cream top with golf sequins and tassels €52, available here. 

Couldn't leave my favourite boutique out ...From top to right; absolutely lusting after this coat..I have enough coats but this one sure is unique. Love the feathered embellishment, see top pics.. Its €129 and available here, centre pic is some belts available from Folkster, love these as they would dress up any plain dress or skirt always a handy one to have in the wardrobe, these are bridal but don't think it matters ranging from €29-€49 plus. I love pretty romantic dresses and these two are my favourites, the dress on the left is from Paper Dolls, Cork its €395 (pic compliments to Blogger Marie from The Beautmum) and the second dress is from Asos, love Tulle and lace together €88.24 and selling out fast , find it here. 

A Brown Thomas splurge has to be done...It is a wishlist after all..now there was plenty of dresses I would only love from here mainly in their thousands but I will never have the cash to spend that kind of money on a dress...so although its a splurge list above, its not too bad really considering what I could buy haha! Yes I have expensive taste, my biggest downfall, but its nice to pretend Ive lots of money and spend hours of fun and pure entertainment adding ridiculously expensive items to my basket

So ladies, let’s sort out our priorities and start thinking about our party options! ;) And to make things easy for myself and yourself..I've pulled together more looks for you, that are not dresses (like the last post here) as not everyone wants to wear a dress over the Christmas season..

I've pulled together some separates that are available on the highstreet and locally..In my opinion christmas parties are the best excuse to get over dressed and totally dolled up...or maybe I get less occasions to do this so I'm going hell for leather on this one!!

If you don't know by now I love Jumpsuits, they are my go to outfit if I'm not quiet sure what to wear, and they are incredible easy to dress up! Love this outfit I know its all black but personally sometimes I think that's nice..its easy and you can dress it up with assessories! The best thing about Christmas is you can wear white haha love wearing white at Christmas, love this look too. Pop on a lovely fur coat and your good to go! It Christmas pary time so you got to have a bit of red. Bit of a cliche but I like this look!
