Ripped jeans..and how to wear them!

Like it or not, ripped jeans or distressed jeans to some, are taking the fashion world by storm, every highstreet, & designer label has them. At first I wasn't sure but the more I see, the more I like and they're growing on me. They look good for a casual or night time look, so with that in mind, here's some inspiration for you lovely ladies below and where to get similar looks!

You can buy similar jeans here , these are more a boyfriend jean, you can pair with similar blazer here, pop a white tshirt on underneath (similar here) and a statement necklace like this one from parfois. And ta dah you've got the look!

Adore these jeans from Whistles similar to above and ripped jeans look so on trend with print t-shirts, they're everywhere and big at the moment, I particularly like this one from River Island here but you can pair these with any tee and it would look good! Grey t-shirt's are becoming popular and great with white ripped jeans too!

Ripped jeans look great with white shirts which I've blogged about in previous post and this is a good look which is easily achieved. Pop on a pair of pumps, vans, converse or the trainer/runners of the moment New balance!

Work wear ...dress for success

So a few of you girls have been requesting advise on what to wear to work, and what's a suitable "work look". For me I always get dressed up, because if you think about it, you spend 5 out of your 7 day week in the work place. It's good to feel nice even if you're having a bad day! Investing in a few key pieces is important. Always keep in mind that you want to dress for success and have people take you seriously.
The looks below, focus mainly on a business casual look, however in more formal offices there is only one option the power suit! Be it a trousers suit or a skirt/jacket combo...always invest in tailored pieces, that goes for both formal wear or business wear.
Key pieces for the work wardrobe are
- A tailored Trousers
- A skirt (girls always be aware of the length .. rule of thumb is "on the knee" or "below the knee" or if its just above the knee wear opaque tights, don't go short!)
- A smart dress (the length again applies)
- A sharp shirt
- A Blazer
- Jumpers/Cardigans
- A Work Top
- Statement necklaces

I've scoured the high street and internet and pulled together a good few looks for you. Not all of them will suit everyone, due to different sizes, body shapes etc, but out of all these looks there is something to suit everyone.

(Another tip for you girls..you don't necessarily have to wear heels all day, You can always pop on heels for those important meetings or when you're away from your desk, always have a pair of flats to pop on your toes when your sitting at your desk 😃 high heel wedges are a great option too!)

This is one of my favourite looks, and something I'd wear to work, it's simple yet classy. This outfit is very easily achieved and doesn't necessarily have to be this particular shirt but any coloured shirt with dark trousers looks sharp!

The tailored blazer - blazers are always handy to have for work if it gets that little bit cold. Or if you have a meeting that's pretty important but a suit would be too formal, the blazer is all you need.

Neutral colours are always best when it comes to work as you can dress them with any outfit, as in Trousers, skirts or dresses ..so here's a few below that are on our highstreets!
