Dubai....part two..shops shops and more shops

So you've seen part one of my blog posts on Dubai...next up it's all about the shops, shops shops and more shops. I'm focusing on the Mall of The Emirates and not Dubai Mall as I spent most of my time here as it was attached to my hotel. (Sheraton Dubai).. Now I've been to some pretty cool malls, particularly the ones in America, but nothing could have prepared me for the mall of the emirates!!! Like a kid in a candy store....this place was massive....not only is it one of the cities largest but one of the most beautiful with polished marble floors, spacious avenues and a stunning skylight. I've come to the realisation that for Dubai..it's all about the interiors and architecture inside their buildings...truly breathtaking...
One side of the skylight
To the other end of the skylight
The galleria in the middle of the skylight area..

The multi level shopping center currently features more that 560 international brands, more than 700 stores, yes ladies 700!!!! 11 anchor brands (Harvey Nichols, Debenhams, marks and Spencer's included) and if that wasn't enough for you just go skiing, yes you heard that right there's a ski Dubai and penguins!!!
Ok, so back to my point the stores, everything from high end designer boutiques to regular high street stores.... had numerous "pretty woman" moments, browsing where I had no business browsing, but staff were lovely and not in the least bit snobbie or intimidating, (or maybe I was too oblivious to notice it as I admired all the beautiful designer dresses)...on the ground floor you had all the high streets you could think of including the American ones, hollister, Aeropostale, New Yorker, including the normal high street you'd find here Zara, H&M,river Island, Bershka, mango, topshop, Stradivarius, forever 21. The high end stores were Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Ellie Tahari, my favourite bcbgmaxazria, Stella McCarthy, Halston heritage, Alice and Olivia, and I could go on and on.
The shopping windows were amazing girls, not to mention the interior of these stores, one was as impressive as the other, so don't take my word for it have a peek below..
Needs no introduction, LV was as sparkly and shiny as the pic!
Stella McCarthy on one floor, and the high street store Stradivarius on the ground floor
Gucci's window and entrance... it was way more spectacular than this picture!
The beautiful skylight with a fountain at the bottom...surrounded by high end jewellers and stores.
Aw everyone's favourite accessory store, Michael kors bag and accessories...slap bang in the middle at the galleria..
Rest assured I was window shopping, my proof as I gaze longingly at Christian louboutins display...
This was Harvey Nichols window display...
And look at those shoes 😛
A better pic of Michaal kors bag shop!
Kate spades store and on the third floor was any amount of home store furniture etc which too were beautiful...made me think is that what peoples houses look like inside if living in Dubai...
This store was a beautiful designer store called Cocoon, the displays were amazing and the dresses to die for!
Halston heritage, only sorry I couldn't get a better picture...beautiful clothes
Right beside Halston was Karen millen! Only in Dubai!
Alice and Olivia store..look at the interior.
Kenso window display again just fantastic..
Aw my favourite store, love their dresses, had a little browse around here, had no business being in here but who cares haha
Another pic of Gucci it was mystical the window display!
How shiny and inviting is this miu miu store...
Needs no introduction ..Versace
This instore display in Harvey Nichols for Manolo Blahnik was amazing ..I wanted them all 😃
Ooow I just had to take a pick of these Sophia Websters shoes they are just gorgeous
One of the many avenues around the mall....
Couldn't help but take a pick of these Steve Madden shoes aren't they fab?
Oh and this one...none other than kurt Geiger window display...I'll take the ones on the very top!!!
River island store...
And this was a taste of some of the furniture home stores on the third floor they were beautiful...
The fountain area surrounded by cafés and restaurants on the ground floor.
Another peek of the mall, yes I got lost a few times, thank god for maps!
Oh look Chanel ....
And what I purchased above, which was very little, as I mentioned in my previous posts girls, Dubai was expensive, the shops, even the high street stores were priced more than what you would pay at home, add an extra €20-30+ on top of what you pay at home...so hence I didn't shop much...
However gold and diamonds are definitely worth buying in Dubai, as you'll get better value for it, and my lovely hubby bought me this eternity ring below...
I am a little bit spoilt aren't i? So thank you hubby x
So when in Dubai (even the shopping malls) there is a dress code (apart from the beach or bars at night), all shoulders should be covered and dresses should be on the knee or below, not wanting to disrespect the country I decided to play it safe, above is what I wore, the 1st outfit the trousers are from Zara, I got in the sale a month ago for €9, the white tee is Dunnes €6, sandals are faith and the blue blazer is Penney's bought last year,
2nd pic white jeans river island, grey top Karen Millen, (few years old) Metallic pumps Shoe Rack, 3rd pic  jumpsuit is Awear (miss that store!) but Penney's and forever 21 have similar khaki jumpsuits at the moment. The dress is Trollied dolly (love their stuff for casual wear) check them out here
I brought this kimono as it was light and perfect to throw on over things, it's from my favourite boutique White Fawn and the jeans are river island again.
Again popped the kimono over my pink tulle skirt from Cherish Boutique, top H&M, belt new look.
The dress is from white fawn boutique but was also available at folkster.com...shoes are Gina..
Skirt was made by the fabulous Hazel Comyn designs check her out here, top Dorothy Perkins, shoes new look, sequin cardigan/jacket Folkster.com.
And my going home outfit, got to have something comfy and warm for the long flight home, jeans rant and rave, kimono whitefawnboutique, bag mulberry, boots Penneys.

So there it is girls my Dubai shopping in a nutshell, great experience but make sure you've plenty of cash if you're attempting to go shopping...hope you enjoyed it ..have a super weekend xxx
