Cork fashion week 2014

Just about recovered from Friday nights adventures with my fellow blogger pal The Coco Fairy (check her out on facebook guys https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Coco-Fairy)!

Cork fashion week kicked off Friday at the Imperial hotel and was sponsored by Mercedes Benz. Lockdown models stormed the catwalk with some amazing style from all the boutiques around Cork.
The boutiques featured were Parfois (amazing accessories), Blush, Opera Lane, Devilish Designs, Verso, Jon Clare, Miss Daisy Blue, Moda, Endora, Vanilla, Paper Dolls, Charlotte and Jane, Noa Noa, Nougat, Kilkenny shop to name a few, so the show was packed with style!

The evening was hosted by the lovely Brendan Courtney (a great fun guy!) Hair was by Peter Marks and makeup by Lancôme.
The models looked amazing and there was a nice mix including plus size models.

The beauty of Cork fashion week is not only does it showcase local retailers, and promote business, it provides a platform for young fashion designers. Saturday nights show gave designers this opportunity to showcase their collections.
Designer of the year was also announced and was judged by non other than Designer Peter O'Brien.

The atmosphere was fantastic and it had style to boot from both ladies and gents who attended! I met some other lovely fellow fashion bloggers, Jodie from Miss Jay Be (http://missjaybe.com/), Michelle from Vanitybaby (http://www.vanitybaby.com/) and Lisa from Jet Set Style (www.jetsetstyle.ie).
