Blazer alert! & accessories that transform an outfit

Hey my lovelies

Blazers, a girl should as many hanging in their wardrobe as humanly possible..they are so practical and go with almost every outfit! 

A statement neck lace is another piece that you should have as 'must have'  accessory. 

I previewed this blazer on the blog before, for those who missed it,  this ones penneys 

It was €23 and still in stock. 

It goes with all types of colours and clothing and I literally have worn it to death.

Most blazers we tend to wear with casual outfits and its amazing what adding a statement neck piece can do to completely transform an outfit.

The Blazer is worn with Tapered Trousers from River Island, but I've also worn this blazer with a tulle skirt and cami, or leather trousers, and it looks fabulous with jeans.

River Island high summer 2016

Hey Ladies,

On Wednesday I was lucky enough to be invited to preview River Islands High Summer Collection...the sun was shining in busy Dublin city center and I was dreaming of long evenings..holidays, Ice cream and everything else that comes with sunny weather!

So when I popped into River Islands Press room, my mind set was already on a beach in a fab bikini (lets not think about the bikini body or lack of it for now..mid scoffing of Fudge bar as we type!!) sipping on pina colada!! So I was sold on their Summer Collection as I spotted beautiful swimwear draped on their walls!!

The collection is beautiful,  Vibrant colour, texture and trim details are key features this season – fresher, bolder and wearable as ever, the collection encapsulates everything needed for a Summer wardrobe.

Transitioning in to high summer CARMEN continues with a palette of white, black and red. The trend comprises feminine and pretty with latina influences for a new-romantic peasant vibe

Clean and smart dressing with a nod to nautical is apparent through SPA SEA, focusing on smart dressing, crisp white tailoring, against frayed finishes and raw edgings for a rustic yet contemporary feel.

LE CHIC has an artisan feel with a classic and sophisticated approach to utility dressing. Mixing contrasting fabrications for a contemporary look; suede, nylon and leather are combined.Le Chic offers beach to bar pieces in a rustic palette using natural fabrics for a relaxed and casual style

With a mash up of inspiration, ETIENNE fuses 90’s sport with seventies chic the perfect alternative to festival dressing, steering away from bohemian and fringing, instead focusing on embellishment, crochet and lace.

So who doesn't love Penneys?? Us Irish ladies cant get enough of it. Who goes in there, with the intention of getting one item only, and comes out with Bags full.??..I guarantee everyone of you reading this post right now has done this!!The temptation is too much .. What are we like??

Well our favourite store, has only gone and launched their spring collection and their look book is amazing..they really are on fire this season. This morning I received more looks from them and had to share them with you.

Their womenswear this spring embodies a natural, lived in confidence. The denim is diverse, the prints are plentiful and their palette is a rich range to suit all complexions

Their spring look is all about primary colours in retro brights such as sunshine yellow, scarlet red, and vintage blue, all toned down with grey marl. There's vintage style, crew neck raglan tees emblazoned with cheeky slogans and denim is in abundance. Oversized shapes on denim cut-offs, yet the classic flare jean and button through A-line skirt remains characteristic. Wearable cover-ups come in the form of the suede jacket and the sleeveless leather biker, printed cropped flute flares Accessories come in the form of gigantic sunnies and oversized gold hoop earrings.

Other pieces have an eclectic, ethnic girl feel with a nomadic festival spirit. Key colour combos such as marigold, chilli red, paired with moss green emerge from this trend, while black accents and sandy beige complete the look. Tassels, fringing and embroidered pocket detailing on jacquard jackets.Festival ready pieces like the classic khaki jacket take a new lightweight, cropped shape. The current trend the Striped comes in the form of palazzos that are paired with cropped crochet bralets .  

 On denim dresses, rope detailing at the neckline gives a nod to the new-age nautical while denim on denim remains strong on their look book for Spring. The chevron mini, stripe shirt dress and pinstripe pinafores are all standout pieces for this seas.on in Penneys

The spring collection is completed with a breezy bohemian daywear range with a gentle, whimsical feel. A hint to the softness of summer is seen through shades of fondant pinks and bleached out whites in sheer materials.  I adore Penneys accessories, and I have lost count of the shoes and bags collections that has accumulated in my rather small wardrobe!! I absolutely adore their accessories and footwear, I will have my eyes peeled for this stripe clutch..I love it!!
