Urban Decay summer S/S16 products & a fabulous masterclass with Danielle Roberts

So last week I was very lucky to attend an amazing masterclass with the fabulously talented Danielle Roberts, in association with Urban Decay Cosmetics Mahon Point.
It was such a fantastic, informative masterclass which was held after store closing hours making it so easy to ask questions and observe without being disturbed.

Pic:Urban Decay
Danielle masterclass was aimed at introducing us to the fabulous new Summer range of Urban decays products ...and my goodness it just increased my insane addiction to their products.
I wanted it all!

The makeup look above was what Danielle recreated for us and she made it look so darn easy!
A nice summery look using all the new summer products which I'll show you below but also adding some bold and eye catching eye colours from the Vice palette

First up was this B6 Vitamin Infused Complexion Prep Spray, and it does exactly that. This bad boy gives the skin a quick hit of vitamins while calming a multitude of sins, in other words reduces and minimizes pores while reducing redness at the same time, Form an orderly queue ladies and find it here
Next up was One and Done, a Tinted Moisturizer, now I'll be honest girls I love my foundation but there is days when I don't fancy putting on full face makeup and I just want a nice tinted moisturizer, especially in the summer. Well this product is perfect for this.
When I saw this I had to have it. It gives nice light coverage but it does allows you to build on this for full coverage, if you wished, just add more of the product to build it up. The main thing that attracted me to this product was it contains an SPF20 which when your getting older (like me) you become keener to protect your skin. The beauty of this product is its available in six different shades to suit all skin types. Available here
Now to my ultimate favourite product, Naked Skin, Urban Decay concealer, we all agreed this is one of the best products out there,  if you don't have this, then add it to your wishlist, this girls is the holy grail of concealers and as Danielle mentioned a little bit goes a long way! you can find it here. Oh another great tip was you can use your naked palette makeup brush to also apply concealer as its perfect for that part of the eye area
Next up was the highlighters and Bronzing...and a tip from Danielle, Ladies forget about Contouring & Highlighting, this summer its all about sculping & strobbing. After Danielle's demonstation with their new highligher's and bronzer's I am in agreement! It was so subtle and just a beautiful look
So want to see the three new highlighters up close? Well here you go!
The Aura ( A light pinkish hue highlighter, really liked this) Sin (A champagne colour, which I loved too) and Fireball ( A peachy tone hue)
Close up of the Sin...adore this one!
And a closer look at the fireball one!
Another tip with these highlighters that Danielle mentioned is, before you dab a bit of highlighter onto your makeup brush, spray a tiny bit of The urban decay setting spray onto the brush, (now a tiny spritz ladies not a bottle load!!) and after a few seconds dab your brush into the product and apply it to your face. This helps lock the highlighter onto the skin and increase the longevity while intensify the highlighter. Genius! All three are available here
Again all about sculpting and strobbing, Danielle used the new collection of Bronzers. These new bronzers are available in two shades. Sunkissed (A peachy tone that would suit our lovely Irish pale skin) and Bronzed ( a darker colour which would suit darker skin tones or if your wearing tan on your face) Both shades you'll find here. I particular love the packaging its just beautiful.
Next up was the Brows and as Danielle mentioned she doesn't like to over do the strong brow that is currently out at the moment and prefers a more defined but natural looking brow. To achieve this she used Urban decay Brow Beater,(here), the Urban Decay Brow Box (here) and the Urban Decay Tamer Gel. (here)
Image result for Urban Decay eye shadown primer eden
After perfectly manicured and shaped brows, next up was the eyes...first up the infamous Urban decay Primer potion in the shade Eden (This girls is a fantastic product too I love it) find it here, it helps prevent eyeshadows from creasing but also keeps your eyeliner and mascara in place all day.
As you can see above this primer is available in a few different shades. I love the sin shade and as Shirley (Mahon Points Urban Decay manager) mentioned it can be used alone on the lid, pop a bit of mascara on and its a quick day time look for eye makeup.
Next up Danielle used the VICE 4 palette which honestly some of the colours terrify me, (only a small amount of shades terrify me), overall the palette is beautiful with a great mix of shades. Danielle used "Bitter" and "Flame" to create a burnt orange smoked out eye (like the makeup look on the model in the pictures above at the beginning of this post), the Vice 4 palette is available in store and here. (again the naked palette brush can be used for apply any colour or base to the eye its so versatile)
Urban Decay eye makeup
To complete the look Danielle added a striking Teal/Green eyeliner (in fact the 1st one in the pic above) It was amazing and looks gorgeous,.. I need to play with colour more! Find them here She then finished the lashes off with the Urban Decay Perversion  Mascara here, which should always be used with the Urban Decay Subversion Primer which is available here

The final look was beautiful and so striking loved it!
(Pic UrbanMUA)
Oh and just in case your wondering..I couldn't resist purchasing the Urban Decay one and done...so gorgeous and you can build it up for a full coverage look too. Perfect!
A huge thank you to Shirley and all the girls on the Urban Decay Counter at mahon point, a fantastic event and Danielle Roberts was unbelievable talented, witty and so informative. Loved it!
Until Next time

Debenhams Ireland ..Beauty Event

This post has been a long time coming ladies, just before Christmas a few bloggers were lucky to be invited to a Debenhams Beauty evening. I am a huge fan of Debenhams, the fact that its just five minutes away from my house might be another factor..but a fan I am!! I love their beauty sections, its always so inviting with all the lotions and potions! I'm fast becoming a makeup junkie (so much so I've joined a makeup class starting in March!!) and I love the choice Debenhams offer.
The evening kicked off with Processco and nibbles, we met with one of their personal shoppers/stylists, who informed us they offer free styling advice, no mater how big or small your budget is. (be it €10 or €100) and that you can use this service at anytime day or evening. They also have a private room where you can discuss your exact requirements and try clothing on at your own comfort and Leisure. This is used quite a lot with wheelchair bound customers too as it makes it easier for them, as sometimes navigating around isles can be tricky.
Not to mention the fact the stylists are more familiar with what is in stock, using personal shoppers  it makes the who process easier for you, and saves lots of time. For more details you can book here.
Then came the fun bit, checking out all the beauty products Debenhams have to offer...one of my favourite brands included Urban Decay...I am loving their products, I constantly use the Naked Decay palettes and also the new Gwen Stefani eye palette, its beautiful. And have you tried the Naked skin concealer..wow.. it's my favourite!
We met with the lovely Shirley, Urban Decays Manager and Professional Makeup Artist, who gave us a makeup demo using the Gwen Palette, this lady has fantastic tips and tricks. Their eye primer is amazing and was top of my list!! We gushed over the make up products particularly the urban decay setting spray, one of the best around. It was a fabulous makeup demo and Shirley truly is so talented.
Next up with met the gorgeous girls from Clarins who gave us a demonstation on skincare and how we should be treating and  taking care of our skin. I'm a big fan of Clarins, since living in the states a few years back when I first picked up my first product..

From cleansing milk, to toning and Multi active day cream not to mention the beautiful Double Serum, I love these products, from the soft feel of them on your skin, to the smell. I have quiet sensitive skin and I find Clarins kind to it!
We also had a demo at Benefits Brow Bar, I absolutely love this relatively new addition to Debenhams (since August 2015), its perfect to just pop in without an appointment and get your eyebrows done, really suits me to pop in, particularly with my two smallies.
On the night the benefit girls demonstrated the perfect brow and gave us a tour around their beautiful treatment rooms. At the brow bar they also offer a range of spray tanning, body waxing and eyelash tinting. And then there's Benefits glorious products, I love their packaging and the fun they inject into the displays not to mention the products. Its a one shop stop to get beautified not to mention, grabbing a few products while your at it.

A look inside the treatment room...
My favourite Benefit kits and I love how they have tips and tricks inside the kits to show you exactly what to do!

It was a fabulous night at the Debenhams Beauty event, I've been a fan of Debenhams a long time and pay a weekly visit to browse and add to my never ending wishlist, so I can splurge come pay day. Its got everything you need for Beauty under one roof.
For any information on products they stock head over to Debenhams here
Have a good week everyone

Christmas gift ideas for her

Lets admit it the time has come!...and every year without fail there's Christmas pandemonium and chaos!
I know in our household, we have a kris Kindle with our Siblings...every time someone gets my name, there is a trail of "what's app" messages slagging the poor unfortunate that has been bestowed my namesake! So here's my problem with this No 1. its not much of a kris kindle if we all know who we're getting .:-) .think we mislead the whole meaning of KK somewhere down the line in the early years!! And No 2 why in gods name is it so hard to buy for me?? I'm easy I love everything.!!!
It got me thinking what do you get someone (a girl in this case) who has everything (no I don't have everything ha!)
I've pulled together a list of things that possibly every girly female likes getting...trust me it never fails!! My favourite gifts  I remember receiving for Christmas (Benefit makeup sets, Jo Malone gift set.. & slippers (I never have slippers!!) were gifts I wouldn't necessarily buy myself but would absolutely love, Its luxury gifts that I like but would never buy as I have more other pressing items I have to get, like work clothes or something Id need for every day use...so here's a list that might help any sibling or any man out there who literally does not have a clue what to buy his better half.
The majority of these gifts range mainly from €50-60 and a good few are less than this, I've also thrown in a small few more expensive items in case anyone is feeling particularly generous.
So here we go..............

Personalised Gifts/Unique Gifts
A personalised gift is just fabulous, I always try to get something for my parents and in-laws from the kids with it personalised, not to mention my hubby as its just something they will always have and a lovely thoughtful idea..so here's where I've picked up a few things and a great website for any sort of personalised or non personalised gift...www.Notonthehighstreet.com

Personalised Rose golf ball Slider bracelet €67.22. Bottom row: Silver Zodiac Constellation necklace €50.79. Personalised Make up bag with Gold strips €23.90, Personalised Charm necklaces €28.38 other versions up there too with varied prices.

Next up...Make Up sets
Its the most obvious one in the book, every girl loves to have makeup doesn't matter how much she has she still likes trying out the best ones around or limited editions & every Christmas there is always a newer shiner one to buy and try out plus sets are handy if you don't want to pack your whole makeup kit into a bag when travelling somewhere xx

Another most obvious one ...Fragrances & Candles sets
I love any sort of luxury lotion and potion, and I'm obsessed with candles! But my all time favourite gift I received one Christmas was from my brother Derek, it was a Jo Malone set, something I would never get myself but was an absolute luxury to receive..
Left to right Blackberry & Bay Body & Hand Lotion €50, Jo Malone Candle €52, Bath & Body Collection Limited edition €58, Center Row: English Pear and Freesia Scent Spray €52, The house of Jo Malone Limited Edition is extremely expensive but put it in there incase €165, there is a cheaper set Pomegrande Noir Collection for €88 and is similar presentation, Far left White Jasmine and mint cologne 30ml €52, Christmas cracker limited Edition €38, but for more ideas on gift sets from Jo Malone click here.
